A trip to the zoo
The sun was shining brightly as the children arrived at the zoo. They were all excited to see the animals. They first went to see the lions. The lions were sleeping in the shade of a tree. The children were disappointed that they couldn't see the lions move, but they knew that lions are nocturnal animals, so they are most active at night. Next, the children went to see the elephants. The elephants were playing in the mud. The children laughed as they watched the elephants splash and roll around. They also learned that elephants are the largest land mammals on Earth. After seeing the elephants, the children went to see the monkeys. The monkeys were swinging from the trees and playing with each other. The children were amazed at how agile the monkeys were. They also learned that monkeys are very social animals and live in groups called troops. The children had a wonderful time at the zoo. They saw all sorts of different animals and learned a lot about them.
